LIGHTNING SLOW
Slowness Celebrating Day One
Today I saw a post on Instagram from UFO Factory. It said THANK YOU FOR CELEBRATING. THIS WHOLE WORLD. LIGHTNING SLOW. These words said what I was too shy to say. This time that some are calling quarantine is actually a time of slowing down. Reprograming our collective nervous system. Many of us are deeply held in this moment of fear right now and with good reason. Our very lives and livelihoods are at stake for many. We have been living in ways that are not sustainable for so long. The crumbling systems we have outgrown are groaning under the weight of their inevitable collapse. And yet at the same time, I feel there is a lightening. A sense of celebration for the slowing down and coming home of humanity. For so long, we have been rushing. Not knowing who we are or where we are headed. This week the word has paused and taken a collective breath. Can you feel it? We have started to think again about what is important to us. We have washed our hands. Seen the bigger picture, we are not alone and we need to care for one and other, these uncertain times have given us that gift. I see my friends through the screen, excited about being home. Making their art. Having dinner with our families.
Today I baked bread.
Played with flour and starter.
I listened to a coaching call on niching.
I talked with my friend Hannah @hannahbluesky in Boulder
Today was a good day.
